We already have the new Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 out there in the market, however, it looks like Nokia has more in store for us. Previously we had reported about the company planning on launching a handful of new smartphones as well. And on the same lines, we now have some new report which gives us an early look at the upcoming Nokia flagship smartphone. Yes, it is Nokia 8.
Nokia 8 Smartphone Latest Leaks
Ever since HMD Global began building Android smartphones as the exclusive in the Nokia name, fans of the storied brand have been waiting for the company to introduce a true flagship class device.
The smartphone’s front side, the first thing which you will see is the display which is expected to measure 5.3-inch. The expected display resolution is 1440 x 2560 pixels. The bezels to the left and the right side of the display are fairly thin, but there are huge bezels on both top as well as the bottom of the display. There is, however, a fingerprint scanner which sits to the bottom and we can also see the capacitive touch buttons.
Rumor has it that HMD will be announcing this Android 7.1.1 Nougat-powered phone on July 31, and with its recent appearance in the FCC database as model number TA-1012, that seems like a distinct possibility.
As far as the software on this smartphone is concerned, it is expected that Nokia will run a near stock version of Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box. As far as the launch and the availability are concerned, the company is expected to launch this device on July 31st. It has been reported that it will cost under 600 USD in the U.S. However, there is no info regarding the U.S. launch of its launch in any other markets.
